Pink Prints
This week, I've been drawn to pinks, magentas, and fuchsias. I expanded my abstract ink series and captured several images I love, including the ones here. I've been capturing images of abstract paint, ink and smoke for over 2 years now. When shooting subjects like these, the results are always unpredictable. Shooting these images has become a practice in patience and persistence. If I don't have the focus and shutter speed dialed in perfectly, I've just waisted an hour of preparation in literally 20 seconds. This has happened multiple times. It's very humbling!
Despite the challenge of shooting something so unpredictable, I am often inspired by the process. Watching these colorful abstract forms expand and mix is exciting! I'm a very visual person and I find I'm sensitive to color. Warm hues energize. Cooler palettes relax.
